What is Skar Audio's Warranty policy?

Skar Audio is proud to manufacture a high-quality product for all audiophiles that seek excellence whether competing regularly or just wanting to add a better quality set up to your daily driver. Boasting one of the best warranties in the market, Skar Audio products purchased new from Skar Audio directly or one of Skar Audio's authorized retailers is covered by a two-year limited manufacturer's warranty. Skar Audio products purchased from unauthorized retailers do not carry a manufacturers' warranty. Additionally, warranties are non-transferable with ownership and will apply to the original owner only.

Amplifier Warranty

Skar Audio's warranty policy for amplifiers does not cover the following reasons when considering a replacement for an improperly functioning amplifier. While the reasons below are the most common reasons for an amplifier to not be eligible for coverage under warranty, this list does not completely exhaust all reasons an amplifier may not qualify for coverage under warranty.

  • Accidental Damage
  • Misuse
  • Abuse
  • Running at improper impedance levels
  • Product Neglect
  • Improper Installation
  • Amplifiers repaired by unauthorized 3rd parties
  • Modification to the amplifier's original state

Subwoofer Warranty

Skar Audio's warranty policy for subwoofers does not cover the following reasons when considering a replacement for an improperly functioning subwoofer. While the reasons below are the most common reasons for a subwoofer to not be eligible for coverage under warranty, this list does not completely exhaust all reasons a subwoofer may not qualify for coverage under warranty.

  • Improper Installation
  • Misuse
  • Running more than recommended power (RMS)
  • Accidental Damage
  • Abuse
  • Improper Wiring
  • Modifications to the subwoofers original state

To assist customers in ensuring that they have all the information needed for proper set up of their purchases, Skar Audio provides all manufacturer specifications for each product on their respective pages via Skar Audio's website. Prior to purchasing or installing your products, we highly recommend consulting each product page for the proper fit and pairing of products. Skar Audio highly recommends taking advantage of a local professional to assist you with your set up and installation as there are many tools available to assist in the proper setup and tuning of your system. How Do I Start a Warranty?

Since Skar Audio is very diverse in where you can locate and purchase our products, we have a few different ways in which you can start a warranty. Below you will find the process to start a warranty based upon the original purchase point of your Skar Audio products:

Skar Audio Website

Customers who purchase directly from Skar Audio's website enjoy the ease of starting their warranty online. Since we keep all of your purchase information on file, there will be no need to provide a proof of purchase for your item. You will only need to follow the simple steps below to start your claim:

  1. Visit the Skar Audio Returns Center by clicking HERE
  2. Enter your original purchase information including your Order Number and email address used at time of purchase
  3. Select your reason for return and enter notes describing what is wrong with the product
  4. Submit your request for warranty

Once your warranty claim is approved to send to us, we will send you an email letting you know that we are ready for your item(s). Now, it is time to package and send your items. Please make sure your items are packaged well so we can evaluate the true cause for your improperly functioning items. Skar Audio cannot replace items that are damaged in transit as we cannot truly evaluate an item for defects in manufacturing if they are damaged in transit. Prior to sending your item(s) please print off a copy of your approval email and include it with your package so we can identify your items. Failure to include this email can result in a delay in processing your warranty.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All items being sent in for warranty must receive approval prior to being sent to Skar Audio. Any items received without prior approval will be sent back to their return address immediately and will not be considered for coverage under warranty. Skar Audio will not test or cover any items that arrive without proper approval.

Authorized Retailer - Amazon, eBay, Down4Sound Shop, Walmart

The best (and fastest) way to start a warranty for any items purchased from an online authorized retailer is by sending us an email at support@skaraudio.com or by using the form on our Contact Us page. In your email, please include the following items so that we may assign an RMA number to you as quickly as possible:

  • A copy or screenshot of your that includes the following:
    • Original order number
    • Date of purchase
    • Item(s) Purchase
  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Any details about why the item is being sent in for warranty

Once we are able to verify your original order, we will be happy to respond via email providing you an RMA Number and instructions on how to send in your items. Upon receiving the email confirmation, please carefully package your items for shipment to our facility. Prior to closing your package, please include the following form that is also received via your confirmation email so we can clearly identify your items upon arrival at our facility.

Skar Audio Dealer

Skar Audio partners with dealers across the country to supply products locally in brick and mortar locations. Our dealers are happy to assist you in determining if your item is eligible for coverage under warranty. If you have purchased your item from a local authorized Skar Audio dealer, please return to the dealer for options pertaining to coverage of your item under Skar Audio's Warranty Policy. Often times, if the dealer has your items in stock and can determine that your item is defective due to a manufacturing defect, they can provide a replacement immediately. Alternatively, if a dealer does not keep stock of your specific item, they may need to send your item(s) into us for review under warranty. We work regularly with our dealer partners in assisting with warranty coverage as quickly as possible.

Product Replacement

In the event that your item is due to be replaced under Skar Audio's Manufacturer Warranty, Skar Audio reserves the right to replace any item outside of 30 days from the original date of purchase with a certified refurbished item. Items deemed for replacement will be replaced for the same model and configuration and there will be no exchanges to different products allowed. If the item is no longer available in Skar Audio's current product line up, the item will be replaced with an item of similar like and kind. Items outside of 30 days of purchase are not eligible for a refund. Items within 30 days of the date of purchase are eligible for replacement as new or a refund under Skar Audio's No Hassle Money Back Guarantee.

Liability Notice

Skar Audio is not responsible for any damage in result from the use of this product. By using a Skar Audio speaker, subwoofer, or amplifier - you are accepting full responsibility for the use of the products. Skar Audio is not responsible for the loss of hearing, damage to person or property, other person or property, vehicle, and is not limited to just the items described herein.

Return Shipment on Warranty Items

In an effort to speed up the return of your items, Skar Audio requests all warranty claims be received with the aforementioned Skar Audio Warranty Form unless specifically instructed. All items received without a return address will be returned to the address originally supplied at the time of initial purchase. It is the customer's responsibility to provide us updated information so that we can make sure to return your items to the correct place as quickly as possible. If you did not send your items with the proper documentation, please contact our Customer Support Team immediately so that we may ensure delivery to the proper address upon return.
